Founded 8 years ago by Divya Prabhakar, this cosy setup invites you to share a Kannadiga oota (‘meal’), curated to immerse you in the essence of our regional flavours.
With a nemmadi (‘peaceful’) atmosphere, we offer a “By Reservation Only” experience, ensuring every dish is made with the freshest, locally sourced ingredients, handpicked every morning. Each menu is custom-made, respecting the seasons and your preferences.

FROM PASSION TO PLATE
Divya Prabhakar, a proud 7th-generation Gowda from Halasooru, Bengaluru, left her 18-year hospitality career to follow her passion for Karnataka’s regional cuisine. Her vision was simple: bring the authentic flavours of her home state to people in an informal yet immersive dining experience.
Every meal at Bengaluru Oota Company is an opportunity for Divya to immerse her guests in the stories, culture, and warmth that make Karnataka’s food so special.
HOMEGROWN Cooks
Behind the flavours of Bengaluru Oota Company is our team of passionate mane hudugru (‘homegrown talent’). These self-taught kitchen yodhas (‘warriors’) come from all walks of life, united by a love for preserving Karnataka’s culinary heritage and achieving financial independence.
With no formal culinary training, their strength lies in traditional wisdom passed down through generations. At our tables, food is served on baale ele (‘banana leaves’), encouraging a true hands-on dining experience, the local way.
